About me:
I engage my clients with respect and compassion for the coping systems they’ve created to deal with their pain. I have worked extensively with couples and with individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression, as well as with eating disorders, substance abuse disorders and compulsive behaviors.
My treatment approach is to help people gain insight into their behavioral patterns. I do this by reflecting on the ways they’ve grown accustomed to protecting themselves. I then assist my clients in understanding the consequences of their self protective behaviors. I partner with my clients to shift their focus from practicing avoidance tactics to building tolerance skills and advocating for themselves. As a self-expression enthusiast, I encourage people to communicate with ownership, authenticity, and openness to building connections with others.
I’m adept at coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic treatment plans that encompass both therapeutic interventions and medication-assisted treatments when necessary.
I obtained my graduate degree from Bryn Mawr College’s School of Social Services, with a concentration in clinical work.
